Ground Logistics
The choreography that turns a schedule into a journey — vehicles, drivers, security, timing.
Maybach and Range Rover sourcing, vetted close-protection, helicopter transfers, meet-and-assist at every airport on the itinerary. Often the part of the trip that decides whether everything else lands.
What Curv actually does
-
Vehicle sourcing — Maybach, Range Rover, custom-spec
Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, Range Rover SVAutobiography, Mercedes V-Class for families with luggage, armoured options where the route requires. Sourced through long-standing fleet partners — not Uber Black with extra pretence.
-
Vetted close-protection where it is genuinely needed
Former military and law-enforcement officers vetted for the route and the family — not "security" as a costume. We push back when clients ask for protection they do not need, and we insist on it when they do.
-
Helicopter and inter-island transfers
Athens-to-Mykonos, Bali-to-Nusa-Lembongan, Nice-to-Monaco at GP weekend. Operator vetting, weather windows, weight calculations. Pads pre-cleared and vehicles staged on the receiving side.
-
Meet-and-assist at every airport
Customs liaison, baggage handling, family-with-children expediting, jet-bridge-to-vehicle in under twelve minutes at major hubs we know well (LHR, CDG, FCO, JFK, DXB, NRT, BKK, LAX, SIN).
-
Crisis-mode protocol
Re-routes, lost passports at three a.m., medical evacuations, last-minute extractions from a country in unrest. Every itinerary we run has a documented contingency plan and a 24/7 line back to the founder personally.
A Tokyo arrival that did not turn into a 90-minute drive
Family of five arriving at Haneda from London. Standard mistake: airport-to-Aman-Tokyo by car at peak hour is 75-110 minutes depending on the Shuto, and the kids have been awake for fourteen hours. Our build: meet-and-assist airside the moment the door opens, a separate handler clears immigration through the diplomatic line because we filed the request twelve days earlier, baggage moved to two vehicles waiting at the C-2 exit. The mother and the youngest two go to the hotel directly in the lead Alphard. The father and the eldest go via the Imperial Palace gardens for a forty-minute walk we had arranged with a family friend — partly because the eldest had asked, partly because forty minutes outside is the only thing that resets jet-lag for a 16-year-old. We meet again at the Aman ninety minutes later, both halves of the family fed, the suite already turned down with the youngest's favourite book by the bed because we had asked the mother's assistant for it three weeks earlier. Dinner at Den at eight — and the eldest still has energy. Total cost over the alternative: about $2,400. Total trip the family remembers as good versus the trip they would have remembered as exhausting: priceless and the actual reason they hire us.
Honest fit
This is for you if
- Multi-leg trips where transitions are where things break
- Families with elders, infants, or anyone who finds airport queues physically hard
- Routes through cities with serious traffic or visa-window timing
- Anyone who has had a private jet ruined by an hour at the FBO
This is not for you if
- Single-airport trips where standard transfer service is fine
- Clients who genuinely enjoy navigating a foreign city themselves
- Routes where Curv has no local relationships and is just calling the same fleet anyone could
- Trips where the ground spend is more than the experiential spend — that is signalling, not service
Frequent questions
Can you arrange armoured vehicles?
Yes — through legitimate fleet partners with the relevant licensing. We will tell you when the threat profile of your route does not warrant it. Most clients who ask, in our experience, do not actually need it.
What does "close-protection" actually mean?
A trained officer (typically former military, law-enforcement, or intelligence) embedded with the family for a defined window. Roles range from low-profile family-shadow to overt advance work. We brief the role to fit the trip, not the other way around.
Do you operate in Africa, South America?
Through partners — yes. We will be transparent about what is "Curv-personal-relationship" and what is "Curv-via-partner". Different reliability profiles, different price logic.
What about helicopters in poor-weather windows?
We chase the operator's actual flight-rules call, not a sales-team pressure-version. We will move the family to a road or boat alternative if the operator is honest that the window is borderline. We have moved trips overnight to avoid an unsafe lift.
