Private Events & Retreats

Multi-day buyouts, retreats, milestone celebrations — under one project plan with one accountable line.

Property buyouts, programming, talent, catering, decor, photography, transport, security. Designed and delivered end-to-end by the same team that runs the day.

What Curv actually does

  1. Property buyouts — hotels, villas, palaces, ranches

Whole-property buyouts negotiated for milestone weddings, family reunions, board offsites, and retreats. Aman Sveti Stefan, Six Senses Ibiza, a working ranch in Patagonia, a Bali resort in low-season — sized to the headcount and the brief, not to a venue's default minimum.

  2. Programming — chefs, sommeliers, healers, performers

Three Michelin-trained chefs flown in for a four-night menu sequence. A sommelier-led double-blind. A breath-work master from Bali for the morning of day three. A jazz quartet from New York for the closing dinner. Programmed against the days, not as decoration.

  3. Wellness retreats

Yoga, breath-work, longevity protocols, ice and heat work, meditation in the modalities that match the group — not a one-size-fits-all wellness package. We have built retreats with practitioners from Vivamayr, Lanserhof, Tiger's Nest, and individual masters in their own studios.

  4. Milestone events — weddings, birthdays, anniversaries

A 60th in a Tuscan estate. A 40th on a yacht. A surprise 50th-anniversary trip across three countries. We act as the GM of a one-event hotel: every supplier, every timing, every backup plan, on one project plan.

  5. A single accountable line

You speak to one person at Curv for the whole event. They speak to thirty suppliers behind the scenes. The brief never gets re-translated through a sales-handler-to-event-coordinator-to-vendor chain.

A three-day 50th in Bodrum

A surprise 50th for a hospitality entrepreneur — guests of honour did not know it was happening until landing. Brief from her husband: 80 guests, three nights, must feel like her actual taste (Mediterranean, not flashy), no one of the 80 should ever wait in a line for anything. Property: a full buyout of a Mandarin Oriental wing in Bodrum supplemented by a villa pod across the bay (because the eight closest friends needed proper sleep accommodation we contracted separately). Day one arrival pacing — guests came across nine hours, every arrival had a vehicle staged with their name and a cold towel, the wife hosted a slow welcome lunch at a beach club we had buyout-rented for the five hours of overlap. Day-one dinner: a long-table on the property's eastern terrace, three Michelin-trained chefs we briefed eight months in advance, a Berlin musician for two slow sets in the round, the wife had tears at minute eleven and we caught it on three cameras because we had positioned three cameras in advance. Day two: a yacht day for the closest 24, a wellness day for the rest with two breath-work masters and a seawater pool we had drained and re-pumped that morning. Day-three closing: a candle-and-fire night, a Turkish coffee ceremony with elders flown from Istanbul, and a one-hour family-message slideshow her three children had been quietly recording for ten months. Suppliers worked: 47. Logistical incidents: 1 (a guest's child fell ill the second morning; we had a paediatrician on retainer that we had quietly contracted, and the family never noticed the trip pause). Wife description on the Friday morning: "you ran my life for three days and I want to know how."

Honest fit

This is for you if

  • Multi-day events where one accountable line matters more than a brand-name planner
  • Retreats and buyouts where the suppliers are the experience
  • Milestone trips with a tight friend-group and high cohesion stakes
  • Anyone who has been let down by a wedding-planner-or-event-agency model

This is not for you if

  • Single-evening events — there are wedding planners who beat us on those
  • Events where the brief is "make it Pinterest" — we are not a styling firm
  • Clients who want a project on a single venue's standard package
  • Brands looking for influencer activations — that is a different agency

Frequent questions

How early do you need to start?

Buyouts of name properties: 9-15 months. Custom programming, property-finding, talent-booking: 6-12 months. We have run faster, but every supplier we use is briefed properly which takes time.

Do you handle weddings end-to-end?

Where the wedding is part of a multi-day group event with travel, lodging, and programming for the guest list — yes. As a single-day venue-and-flowers wedding we are not the right shop and will refer you onward.

What is the typical event budget?

Multi-day buyouts and retreats from $250K to $5M+ depending on headcount, property, and programming. We will tell you on the first call whether your budget and ambition fit the same trip — and whether to move one of them.

How does pricing work?

Design fee plus disclosed supplier costs. The fee is sized to the complexity, not to a percentage of the event spend, because percentage-of-spend incentivises us to spend your money — and we refuse that incentive.
